Define the award first

A domestic league scoring award and a cross-league award are different competitions. Start with the organizer's current rules and official statistics. Do not combine league and cup goals unless the award explicitly does so. My Player Schedule displays fixtures and available source statistics; it is not the official administrator of a scoring prize.

Read the remaining schedule

List the scorer's remaining relevant fixtures, then check whether any date is provisional or postponed. A player with more remaining club games does not necessarily have more league opportunities. Domestic and European cups can affect selection without counting toward the award you are following.

Avoid opponent-based guarantees

A lower table position does not guarantee an easy scoring opportunity. The same applies to assumptions about relegated clubs, penalty awards or a player's starting role. We have removed claims that the final five games invariably decide the award or that home fixtures produce a predictable penalty advantage. No model supporting those claims was provided.

A useful comparison sheet

For each contender, note official competition goals, relevant games remaining, current availability and confirmed kickoff dates. Keep uncertain details marked as uncertain. Revisit the list after each completed fixture. The Premier League explains why published appointments can change; check equivalent official guidance for other leagues.

The tracker can organize the next matches you want to watch, but the official competition statistics should settle disputed goal totals or award eligibility.
